It fails every few months because of changes in Youtube, but it is usually fixed within days.. Thank you - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15184057, 3 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15972435, 3 years agoThe developer updates regularly. I brought him a cup of coffee which was well worth it. Even when youtube page coding breaks it he finds a solution until he can fix it.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17074371, 3 years agoI personally love this add on. Every now and then YouTube will make is so it does not work but the creator usually fixes it in a couple of days and is transparent about when it is being fixed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14947575, 3 years agoEasy Youtube Video Downloader Express is a great app. I use it mainly for downloading plays and musicals so I can watch them later on my computer even if they are removed from YouTube. I just saved a funeral video of someone I knew because sometimes churches don't keep them up very long and I might like to see parts of the funeral again.
This app is super easy to use and explains the process well. The developer is also very open about issues and limitations of the app, which has to be adjusted to fit with YouTube. I see many 1-star ratings, some of which complain that the "Download" button is missing. This was a temporary issue from YouTube making a code change. The download button is back. All this and more information is available on the app page, where the developer puts updates and alerts. Through all of this issue, the developer has been sharing updates and instructions for workarounds.
Another aspect of this app people have seen has been that the highest-quality downloads are no longer available for free subscribers. The developer has explained that they have to use their own servers to get those downloads to work (you can get the technical info from the app site), which costs money, so they have set up a premium membership that provides those high-quality downloads such as full HD. The developer suggests $30 as a donation, but there's a slider you can use to change the amount if you want. I was thinking about getting premium when I get a new computer with more space and less problems downloading large files!
I'm really happy having a bunch of downloads that I can watch anywhere without internet glitches (my internet sucks). I can take a laptop and show my elderly mom a play without the buffering circle. I can easily download my granddaughter's only high school choir solo and her pandemic graduation videos. The process is smooth and easy. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13926650, 3 years ago

I am still getting random no-button happening, so far it only seems to affect larger videos that were uploaded today (this has NOT happened prior to this latest round of grief).
This is with the development version.
PS: The feature that makes a video load in paused mode is also broken on the videos that lack the button. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17069319, 3 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13561640, 3 years agoEvery now and then you want to keep a video that you see on YouTube and there really is no way to do this using YouTube. This add-on allows you to save those videos that you would like to access later. I find it helpful because I don't have to try and find them on YouTube again. And if for some reason my Internet connection isn't working I still have access to the videos on my computer.
