The developer is constantly working on mitigating code changes implemented by Youtube that prevents the downloading of videos.

Great add-on, highly recommended!

This is a great add-on for saving videos on your own system to play when you want, without having to search for (and maybe not find) the one you're looking for, and then stream it, and put up with the adverts that interrupt it!
I have been using it for years, and it is continually updated (praise to the author for that), primarily due to some of Youtube's code changes, apparently designed to suppress the ability of add-ons like this to download the videos.
If it stops working, it's not because it's broken, more likely because of Youtube code changes - just get the latest update to get it working again.

You are better in updates to keep up than Adblocker Plus and the Anti-Adblocker Blocker.

Normally it works really good. At irregular intervals youtube tries to keep us from downloading videos and establishes fixes agains this downloader. At the moment the developer is working on a fix to fix the fix. He will manage. Have fun! :)

I LOVE THIS ADD ON!! It ALWAYS works, and it helps me download pretty much anything I want. I had to borrow a lap until mine was fixed and she didn't use this app, I was LOST. When I took it back I set it up for her, she doesn't know what she would do without it. If I wasnt home on disability I would donate at least $100, its THAT useful and good. Thank you to the developers!

I have been using this extension from past 2 to 3 years now and has never given me problem and each time i have seen that it has been updated also .. Keep up the good work ...

I have been using Easy YouTube Video Downloader for over a year, and except for the few times that there were delays due to YouTube changing its scripting, EYVD has been superb. I use EYVD to download music to listen to before I buy the artists' CDs. EYVD has saved me hundreds of dollars by my discarding the music that was not as good as I originally thought. For me, EYVD is one of the only three add-ons that I use in Firefox. Update June 18, 2022: EYTD continues growing more important for me. Thank you Dishita for this addon!

This extension is really great. It is frequently updated to keep up with YouTube's frequent code changes. Be patient.
