I believe that Dishita provides an extremely important service. From coding to executing, his one-man operation accomplishes a great deal. And, it is all done for zero profit. So, I believe it's important enough to voice that here. Despite the fact that I am a monetary contributor, albeit; a very small donation, I now have 1080p Full HD and 256K MP3 download capabilities. This add-on gets a 5/5 and Dishita gets big ups, my total appreciation, as well as my complete respect.

The only issue I've had is trying to download LARGE files, other than that, It's a great service.

So I am updating the review below from 5 years ago. At some point this extension stopped working--the developer said that YouTube go ahead of him--and then the fix that was supposed to solve it put 2 buttons under the videos, but neither one worked. They would seem to be downloading, but when I went to play them with VLC there was nothing there. Now Dec 2025 I am using the extension again. There is a single button, and yes, the videos play once they are downloaded. AGain let me say that as long as this extension works, it is by far the easiest one to use because there is no cutting and pasting needed, so for that reason I gave it 5 stars despite the hicups. (below is my first review)
I LOVE this extension! So easy, just one click and it begins downloading! I have also used 4K YouTube Downloader and WinX but for both I have to copy and paste the link. Easy YouTube Video Downloader is just easier and more convenient. Good job, and thanks for the recent update!

UPDATE: I have used this app for a couple of years now and it has had a couple of glitches here and there, usually when Youtube changes something on their end. I am always amazed at how quickly it gets fixed. It is a great app with great customer service. Try it, you will love it too!!
UPDATE: It is now 2023 and I still love the app and the customer service. You won't be sorry for trying it. If you are able, buy the creator a coffee.

I had been using another downloader which did not keep up with YouTube changes. I picked this one because of the "recommended" tag and the high number of 5 stars. It worked for me as advertised with no issues.
