- Rated 1 out of 5by kenwood850, a year agoTurned off all other extensions, ad blockers etc and tried downloading several videos that I would not expect to be copyrighted. If there was a button to press to download, I couldn't find it. :(
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18354052, a year agoLeft a 1 star last version because features are now locked behind "Pro" paywall and those that aren't just don't work anymore...
Leaving this 1 star because new version didn't fix anything at all (which of course may not be the plugin's author's fault). What is the fault of the author is how the plugin needs to access ALL data from every website I go to... It's a plugin for Youtube, why does it need to access everything I visit? (Should be allowed to set permissions on this to only work when actually using/visiting Youtube.) and not a single option works when tried? Only greeted with the prompt to "upgrade to pro" when trying to use it, even on it's lowest options...
Not sure why something like this is "recommended" anymore; It hasn't worked last three iterations and the unchangeable permissions allowing it to access everything are... disappointing.
Uninstalling and moving on... - Rated 1 out of 5by Larnax, a year ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16868508, a year agoUpdate: Changed my review to 1 star because developer knows this addon is broken irrevocably and can't be fixed to download YT videos. Instead he's leading people on, trying to get them to give money or upgrade to PRO (did and this also doesn't work!). Fake 5-star links are being posted - either by him or shills. Youtube has greatly blocked all downloaders for months, which seems to be the standard from now on. Bottom line: this downloader doesn't work anymore - period!
Older review: Youtube continually changes their coding to try to break downloaders. This addon is gold - it works far better than any downloader I've tried (and they've been many!), and the owner/coder Dishita constantly fixes it when Youtube attacks again. I've bought you a coffee Dishita - thanks again! (I wish I could copy this review under one-star as well because during the time lag between YT breaking it and Dishita fixing it, many impatient people leave bad reviews and many people go there at first to assess an addon! We all need to chill and remember when everything wasn't so 'instant'!) - Rated 1 out of 5by boondock, a year agoedit 10/31/24: Hasnt worked in ages. At least the free version. Cant even download 360. The download "fails" as it begins for atleast 3-4 months now.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14896841, a year agoBefore it worked perfectly, and suddenly it does not work. I can only download 360p but the result is only blank video with a statement "The following content is not available on this app."

posted a year agoI have fixed this and you will receive an update via auto addon update in firefox once it is reviewed there. If you are on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge you need to manually update by visiting this download page.
It's disheartening that many satisfied users don't leave reviews while a few unsatisfied ones do, that too after using it for years but not working for few days. Request you to edit the review :( - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18356405, a year agoStopped working over a month ago, doesn't look that dev cares about it in a slightest. Sad.

It's supposed to be free but if you attempt to download any quality mp3 you will be told it "needs powerful server infrastructure" and you need to upgrade to pro version by paying at least $10.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Tangi Tunoa, a year agoDoesn't work. Used to until a couple days ago. Apparently Youtube is now charging to download and as far as I can tell, Youtube has stopped this app dead in it's tracks.
Looking at other reviews, I see other people tried paying. Still didn't work. So I won't be trying that myself.Developer response

It's disheartening that many satisfied users don't leave reviews while a few unsatisfied ones do, that too after using it for years but not working for few days :(- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18351147, a year ago1st mistake is saying it can't convert the video to mp3 because you need to pay for more powerful infrastructure by joining the "pro" tier. Yeah right lulz, just use clip grab.
2nd offense the plugin doesnt work anyway no matter what format you try to download. All videos fail.Developer response

Keep in mind that this does not seem to be the fault of the app itself; I've noticed that several other downloaders have experienced the same issue in that instead of the video, you download a 5 minute MP4 that says it's not available on this app and to watch it on YouTube.
Since this is happening to multiple Download apps, I can only assume that YouTube itself has found a way to trick these addons into downloading these empty MP4 clips instead of the video.
In short, I hope this app gets around this new issue; In the meantime, screw YouTube with a jackhammer.Developer response
