5 Star Downloder when it was working. Hope it turns out that way again.

This is the most useful add-on I have ever used. It allows me to download rare piano sheet music + audio videos that are not available anywhere else. These are not copyright violations as they are mostly unpublished or published in Russia and other east European countries. And is it really reasonable to restrict downloads of movies that are 60 - 90 years old? YouTube is too grabby. Intellectual property rights have been taken way too far because of the extreme application of neoliberal capitalist ideology. I thank this developer from the bottom of my heart for this add-on. He is working hard on fixing YouTube's latest thwarting of this extension. Please continue to support them!

Creator is quick to make updates when YouTube changes the code and blocks the extension.

I like this DL'er because of its ease of usage, and it seems to be the only DL'er that actually works on YT without having to take all day to 'aggregate'.
I emailed the author about the recent problem with YT coding change, thus taking the 'green rectangle' off of each YT video. I appreciate the rapid response (less than 2-hrs). telling me they are aware of the problem and have submitted their solution to FF for review and their next update.

I have been using Youtube Video Downloader for some time and it has been working great until a few days ago. I emailed the developer, yesterday, that the download button is missing. Dishita sent me a reply within 2 hours explaining the problem and that Youtube has made some code changes that caused the problem. Dishita said they are working on a fix to be released soon. This is great customer service that Dishita replied so quickly with the reason for the problem and letting me know a fix is on the way.

This add-on works great; I've been a Pro user for quite a while. Occasionally it appears to "break" but that is due to YouTube constantly making updates and is not the fault of the add-on. The developer always pushes out an update/fix within a few days.

Would be a lot better if the download selection bar would not keep disappearing from youtube pages. Even un-installing and re-installing does not seem to fix it.

Truly it works great and it is very easy to use. I have been using it for a long time. I like it very much

I've used this add-on for a couple years and recently upgraded to Pro. It has worked reliably (and fast) for a long time and has been easy to use.

Recently, YouTube made some programming changes which broke the add-on, resulting in the "Download" button not appearing. I've been in touch with the author who says that a fix has been created and is in the approval process. It should be available in the next update which should auto-install.

Dishita does a good job at keeping this working. Yes sometimes it goes wonky but it Youtube fault. They don't want you to dl vids so they keep changing things. Then this tool needs to be repaired. It's a game of cat and mouse. (updated on 4/4/2024)
This is really a good down loader. It fills my needs well, it really does work and easy to use.
