The downloadbutton dissapeared at some point, because youtube changed something again, but there is a new toolbar button. (a green folder icon) It took me a while to notice, but it works fine again.

Update 8/26/25: Dishita continues his amazing work, maintaining a truly 5-star product that keeps on working despite the ever-growing strength of the adversary. This is one of the few "must-haves" out there; for this job there's nothing that compares with it. Thanks, man!
Update 7/14/21: the developer stays on top of YT code changes, which are made periodically to interfere with products such as this. When that happens it is a brief inconvenience but the guy soon handles it. Great maintenance. he's good. I wish he would make a general downloader as well

Works wonderfully. Yes, sometimes the download doesn't come through the first time -- but that's on the Youtube end, and this developer works like crazy to find fixes. And yes, when there's an update a new tab will automatically open in Firefox explaining the update and asking for support. Reviewers who say there's no way to stop this are just dumb: to stop it, uninstall the extension. Duh. I think it's reasonable for developers to ask for a little support. I personally haven't found a better YT downloader. And my computer has not been invaded by scammers.

Excellent video downloader.

I've had this add-on for a couple of years now and have had no problem with downloading video's in the past. This add-on is a must with YouTube deleting video's that don't conform with their narrative.

The app works as expected. I fully recommend it.

Does exactly what it says on the box. No annoying popups except the donation reminder on every new version (which is fine in my book).
