    Doesn't work anymore - creates empty files, nothing else

    The empty files issue is now history — v24.1 is out and fixes it. It was a YouTube algorithm change that caused the problem. Please update and you should be downloading properly again. An updated review would be much appreciated!

    I tried several times, and while a shell would download, it was empty of data. Very disappointing.

    Really sorry about the disappointment. The empty shell was a bug triggered by a YouTube algorithm change. We've just released v24.1 which properly fixes it. Please try updating — we'd love to turn this around for you.

    This extension fails at every single download - it just makes a file with 0 bytes. It also fails to recognize that and then asks the user to rate it. It's bizarre.

    Hi zzz! Totally understandable frustration. The false "success" notification + 0 bytes was a bug caused by a YouTube algorithm change. Fixed in v24.1 now — please update and it should actually download this time. Bizarre problem, proper fix!

    Paid for this quite a while ago, stopped working, dunno when. Now it only creates 0KB files. Worthless now. Do not donate!

    Not junk, just broken by a YouTube algorithm change! It's now fixed in v24.1. Please update and try again — hopefully you'll see a very different result. Would love to change your mind on this one.

    It works again! v24.1 just dropped and fixes the issue — YouTube changed their algorithm and broke things temporarily. Please update and give it another chance. Happy to hear your updated thoughts!

    Did not work at all. No matter which setting I used, I got a 0 byte mp4 file that didn't open.

    Hi SomeoneElse! That 0 byte mp4 issue is fixed in v24.1 — YouTube changed their algorithm which caused downloads to fail silently. Please update and every setting should produce a real, working file now. Give it a shot!

    The "unsupported file type" error was part of the same bug — a YouTube algorithm change caused downloads to produce broken files. Fixed in v24.1! Please update and the downloaded files should open properly now.

    Stop trying to gaslight me. It says the it has been downloaded and the file is no where. It didn't save but it keeps saying it saved 3 times. Did a full search of my mac and file doesn't exist.

    We're not gaslighting — the file genuinely wasn't being saved due to a YouTube algorithm change that broke the download process. It's now fixed in v24.1. Please update and the file should actually appear where it's supposed to. Sorry for the confusion!

    Was once the best Youtube ripper available, but now, it's trash. It rarely works, even when you pay for the pro upgrade, you can't download anything.
