I've talked to Deepesh several times and he's always provided excellent support. I ended up buying the plugin because I needed the 1080p download capability since YouTube and Google practice censorship against anyone they disagree with, and I maintain copies of videos for the historical record. I've tried many other plugins and his is the only one that works so far. There's a ton of 480,720p downloaders out there and they all basically work the same way but virtually nothing else can grab 1080p because it requires multiplexion, and he's set up a server to do that for you (hence the cost). I hope everyone decides to support Deepesh for a very very modest cost. He's really not getting a whole lot from developing this software so I hope more people decide to help him either through good reviews or donations. Without this, we may lose a great, reliable tool for downloading high quality videos.

When I try to download 720p files are empty - no longer valid. 15.7 fixed the problem. Still waiting for free 1080p download.

This is quite simply the very best,most reliable and the easiest to use add on for Youtube I've yet to come across.
I find it utterly indespensible and use it all the time.
Not only that if you pay the nominal price ask to for go the ads aswell as get full on 1080pHD downloads then it does everything you could want.

Now if that's not enough whenever those slippery lot at Youtube upgrade the site this add on is back in business working with the latest update within a day or so,

Now I'm sure there's any number of firefox add-ons that I've used with this browser over the years but not one of them has come close to being used as much as this one nor remotely as useful or straight forward.

Great youtube downloader

The simplest and most reliable downloader I've found. During the recent Mozilla update fiasco when all the addons went down for a couple of days, I realized just how much I use this program and finally ponied up a donation.

It worked for two months. Then 740 and 1080 stopped working and the seller will not respond to my emails.

This is garbage. Only "pro" users can download anything other than low quality video. But even when I tried to download one, the file was 0 bytes. Didn't even work.

Ok firstly I should point out it worked for half a day after I made a PayPal Donation to get the PRO version in the morning then stopped working and asked me to make ANOTHER donation for the PRO version in the afternoon.
I am sure I am an exception rather than the rule and I have contacted them over the issue. I type this so others are aware there can be issues.

Having said that I now have it working again after being e-mailed an activation link following my complaint. I found the support to be be pretty good.
Had I not encountered the, albiet, temporary problem I would have given 5 stars.

Quick and easy way to download videos on YouTube in a variety of quality levels. For anything 720p and over, I would recommend tipping the developer to get Pro access. ( These require additional transcoding on the developer's part. )

I've used this addon, PRO version, for several years with great success. It does all the downloads well and is especially useful to extract audio to add to my music library. The author has been very responsive and helpful with issues that I've had.
