I've had no problems with VDL worth mentioning. It downloads pretty much everything I've tasked it to, done it easily and quickly and kept me abreast of each download as it was being made. The conversion utility is efficient as well, and the upgrades keep pace with You-Tube's changes very well. I'm more than satisfied.

This is the best Utbe-to-MP4 converter I've ever used. It's fast and accurate. With other converters, it happens sometimes that there's a sync problem with the audio. Not with this one. I donated $10 and got the PRO version. Well worth it!

UPDATE: I'm still diggin this downloader. Dishita keeps it updated and he's super responsive to any questions you may have. I'm an educator that likes to embed video clips in powerpoint presentations. I've yet to run across a video that I couldn't convert for use in my work. And, as always, sign-up for the PRO version. Easily worth the price of a Cup o' Coffee!

I enjoy the straight forward user interface and the option to download at different resolutions. ONLY quirk of the program is if you have a video that can't be downloaded the app will download the previous video you watched instead. Not a problem, I was just bummed out when I wanted to keep a video shielded behind an age barrier and I got the video I viewed before.

This add on is exactly what it claims to be. Easy to add and use. Nothing else compares so far.

What can I say, it just works! Very easy to install and setup, and simple to use! Adds a download button right next to the subscribe button, and works flawlessly. If you didn't know any better it would seem as if the feature was just part of YouTube itself. To the developer(s), thank you for your work!

It works so simply and easily that I it call it "idiot proof" !! Click on the button, select the quality and size you want, and "poof" - there it is!!!

This add-on also seems to be the only one that stays with the changes of YouTube. When YouTube upgrades or alters the code for their site, this awesome add-on updates (what seems to be) instantly!! (I know is isn't instantly, but it is one of the first - and I have tried a lot of different add-ons)

I donated last week thinking that I now had the pro permanently. Come today to download they want another 'donation'.

It appears that you only get to download as a pro (1080p), if you keep your browser open. Once you shut it down and go back guess what, another donation required for HQ.

What a rip off.

I highly recommend this add-on! It works great and has regular updates.

I have used Easy YT video DL'er for many years, has always done exactly what it claims. Just updated so the new YT format works also, and I send the developer a donation for each update. Excellent value, and thank you to the author for creating and maintaining this addon. Currently Firefox 54.0 running on Linux Mint 18.1.
