- Rated 1 out of 5by Thany, 8 years agoIt sort of works. But like most other video downloads, it appears to provide 1080p downloads, while it just doesn't bloody work. Some downloaders redirect to some BS message saying it's not possible (which is BS, because it *is* technically achievable), but this one does something else. This downloader, when selecting 1080p, pings videodroid.org and then absolutely bloody nothing else happens.
If you can't make downloading 1080p happen, DO NOT PROVIDE IT AS AN OPTION. - Rated 5 out of 5by Karl, 8 years agoThis handy plug-in just works. No hassle. No complications. I found it in a google search. Easy install and it gives you a big green button under the YouTube video that says "Download As..."

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13999361, 8 years agoIts a great youtube downloader. It does what its made to do quickly and without problems. It does require a one-time donation to do MP3s but with most of the free ones these days being virus laden messes, I think its worth it.

It's good to be able to download audio only or video with the same addon. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13998629, 8 years agoExcellent downloader and super fast download. Its after one donates that the speed increases.

The choice of quality of downloads.
Makes it meaningful to save selected videos. - Rated 1 out of 5by Олег, 8 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Casey Wagner, 8 years agoThe download speed where I live is only 1.5 megabits a second. This makes watching videos at any decent resolution a problem when I'm the only one using the net, and impossible when other family members are using it.
Since I watch a lot of tutorial videos, being able to download them to watch offline means not having to pause, buffer, scrub back and forth, repeat.
After using the basic edition for a while, I've just picked up Pro and gave it a try with a 1080p Blender tutorial. The transcoding is excellent and it will be a great help in the future.
Highly recommended.
Update: March 10, 2019. Still loving this app. The registration is worth every penny, and the little elves that transcode the videos on the remote servers have to be fed somehow. I've introduced another family member to the app and they love it, so we'll be donating again today. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13967309, 8 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13984157, 8 years agoWorks for what it is but sucks ram and internet bandwidth. Very suspicious... perhaps they're mining bitcoins behind our backs but don't trust this anymore.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Dennis Hollingsead, 8 years agoThis is the best and ONLY video downloader anyone should ever use for Youtube! I will continue to use this ALL the time and recommend it to anyone serious about downloading videos. If you are looking for a free downloader, just remember that you will get what you pay for. Don't expect developers to do all this hard work just so you can have a cushy life!
