posted 17 days agoHey! Yeah, YouTube updates can throw a wrench in things. Version 24.1 is out now and catches up with the latest changes. Update the extension and it should be working again. Does not download any video, only pretends to.

posted 17 days agoHi! "Download completely successfully" but saves nothing — that fake success message was particularly misleading. Version 24.1 fixes this so it actually downloads what it says it does. Update and give it a try! ADDED ON FEB. 25, 2026: i updated as advised to version 24.1. now when i try to download a high-quality video, i am told, "You’ve reached your free high‑quality trial" and that i should upgrade to PRO. um, isn't that what i provided financial support for, so i could download high-quality videos? yes … yes, it was. so until this is fixed, the one-star rating will remain.Developer response

It downloads the file it claims, slowly churns away in the percentages but in every case, it creates a file with zero bytes.

How does that serve me the user when the extension "pretends" to download a file?
