Enhancer for YouTube™ by Maxime RF

by GenericUser, a year agoI never knew how helpful/useful this add on was until it stopped working. I had to use and install like 4 extra add-ons to replace the features I was missing out on. (and it wasn't even that great lol) Thanks for your hard work. In case this ever goes down again here are some "alternatives" to features that I find useful. I was about to mention specific extensions but that feels like advertising so I'll just say I just love the volume & quality control and the hide and convert shorts feature. Blocking autoplay and the related videos section is great and no other extension does it as good as this one (w/o some breakage).

It shows as being switched on, but the controls don't show, none of the settings I had are operative, and the option to configure it seems to have also vanished. - Rated 4 out of 5by Walys, 6 days ago[Switched due to continued closed source in 2025, but flawless experience otherwise]
Was my main driver for Youtube for at least the last four years and has been flawless in my usage.
Initially I would've given this five stars before, but the software is still closed sourced. Good alternatives now exist with mobile functionality (Android) and extended feature sets while following open source principles.
Thank you for everything, MRFDEV. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18443570, 7 days ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Synetech, 11 days agoIt used to be useful, but then it "required" Firefox 121+ for some reason (though manually copying the files to ESR115 works).
Bugs:
• There's a bug in the resolution settings that hides anything above 720p.
• The speed override has a bug where it only works for the first video in a playlist and subsequent videos revert to 1× speed. If I can't force an entire playlist at 2.5×, then this doesn't help. 😕 - Rated 5 out of 5by RozalDDL, 11 days ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18954130, 14 days agoWorks great but I am starting to see "web blockers not allowed" when I open youtube. I can close the pop up and youtube works. First time this has happened and I have had the extension for well over a year, probably closer to 2.
