FireThemes is the only successor of Firefox Color: unofficial, but legit. With each of these addons you can easily create individual browser themes. Both show any small change instantly.
While Firefox Color depends on Mozillas online service, FireThemes works completely local. It offers a few options less – and a bunch of never seen actions: e.g. night-and-day-rotation.
During creation the sidepanel (aka vertical tabs) has to be ON.
In addition, there are dozens of very different readymades on board. I’m not sure, if this is the best idea. Separate addons with curated style collections may be better...
