Privacy policy for FlowHop – Step-by-Step Guide & SOP Recorder
FlowHop – Step-by-Step Guide & SOP Recorder by Kage Lab
FlowHop privacy policy
Last updated 25 October 2026 · applies to the FlowHop extension for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Opera. Full version: https://kagelab.app/flowhop/privacy
The short version: FlowHop keeps your guides, screenshots and distribution lists only on your own computer, encrypted. We have no servers that receive them. We never see them, upload them, share them or sell them.
Who we are
FlowHop is made by Kage Lab, a business name of Cory Christian (ABN 80 695 802 826), Sydney, Australia. Contact: support@kagelab.app.
What FlowHop stores, and where (only on your computer)
• Screenshots of the pages you record, update or play, and the names of the buttons and fields you click – to make the guide – encrypted.
• The address and title of each page in a guide – to open the right page when you play or update a guide – encrypted.
• Text you type into web pages – only if you switch on "Include what I type in step descriptions" (off by default; never for password, card or ID fields) – encrypted.
• Names and email addresses you add to distribution lists, and a log of which guide versions you prepared or sent – for "Tell your team" – encrypted.
• Logos, colours, document owners and links you add; your settings and plan status.
Files you download are saved by you to a place you choose.
What FlowHop blurs or never records
Password fields are never recorded. Password, card and ID number fields are blurred automatically, and Pro can also blur email addresses, phone numbers and account numbers. You can blur any other area by hand, and list websites FlowHop never records on.
What leaves your computer
Only licence information, through our payment provider ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), which uses Stripe: an anonymous licence key at install, periodic checks of that key, and – if you buy – the email and payment details you give ExtensionPay/Stripe on their own pages (we receive your email and purchase record, never full card details). None of your guides, screenshots or lists are ever part of these requests. No analytics, tracking or advertising. FlowHop never sends email: "Tell your team" opens a prepared message in your own mail app.
Permissions
• Active tab and scripting: run the recorder or Guide Me player on the page you choose, only while recording, updating or playing a guide.
• Storage and unlimited storage: keep guides, screenshots and settings on your computer.
• Alarms: check review dates so the icon can remind you.
• Access to all websites (optional, off by default): only if you switch on "Follow me to any website".
Keeping and deleting data
Guides are kept until you delete them. "Delete all guides" in Settings also removes your distribution lists. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored.
Your rights
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. For anything we hold (such as a purchase email address), contact support@kagelab.app to access, correct or delete it, or contact the OAIC (oaic.gov.au). If you record screens showing other people's information, you are responsible for having the right to do so and for how you share the guide.
Children
FlowHop is a workplace tool, not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change how FlowHop handles data, we'll update this policy and the listing before the change takes effect.
