Flowtop Tab Audio sends the title, browser identity, playback status and audio of only explicitly shared and selected tabs to the Flowtop desktop app on this computer using an authenticated loopback connection (127.0.0.1). Audio can include voices and personal communications. Sharing alone does not start recording.

The extension has no analytics, advertising, microphone access, or general browsing-history collection. It does not send audio to external servers. A short-lived connection code and random pairing token authenticate the local connection. The token is stored in browser extension storage; Disconnect deletes that token and stops sharing. It does not delete saved local Flowtop sessions.

Optional site access prepares audio hooks only on specific approved origins. You can revoke these permissions in the browser. The companion sends audio only when Flowtop records that selected tab. Closing or navigating it stops capture.
