Privacy policy for Forget Me : ephemeral memory
Forget Me : ephemeral memory by trap
Forget Me has no collection server and uses no telemetry. The extension does not send your cookies, browsing history or page content to its author or an external service.
To operate, it reads tab addresses and the relevant sites’ cookies, and asks Firefox to remove the targeted data. Rules, interface preferences, pending cleanups and normal-browsing reports are stored locally in Firefox. Known hosts and origins for managed sites are retained to determine the cleanup scope.
Information specific to private browsing is handled within the current session. Private rules are not added to the persistent managed sites list and private cleanups do not create persistent reports or history entries.
Automatic cookie acceptance on F sites is off by default. If you enable it, Forget Me may click an acceptance button in a recognized banner, including acceptance of advertising cookies. The website may then transmit information to its partners under its own policy. Removing local data does not remove information already transmitted, and disabling this option does not retroactively revoke consent already given.
The RFP button changes a Firefox setting; it sends no data to a Forget Me service.
