Thanks for taking the time to review. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13834301, 7 years agoWorks on one of two sites, im using often. Facebook.com does work. Brieffreunde.de does not work. www.kialo.com does not work. If this is not working on sites with great amount of text, its pretty much useless.

I have added the issues https://github.com/lutostag/webextension-formsave/issues/13 and https://github.com/lutostag/webextension-formsave/issues/14 to track work on the problem.
Hopefully an easy fix. I will try to take a look at those sites soon. I did not know about them, but I will add them to the testing. - Rated 2 out of 5by John, 7 years agoThe title of this review is the question I have in mind. I find the add on having saved a gazillion of forms but not the last one I am looking to find. It's not even saving this text I am writing. Shouldn't this little text box be the first that the author verifies it is working? I mean, if it doesn't work with the text box in the Firefox add on review form, how can you give it a higher rating?
The fact is that I use it only because an older add on I have isn't getting updated and does not support multithreading. Not because it is any good. Unfortunately.
So I only hope that one day FormSave will be an add on that you can trust that it will save what you are typing. For now, it's usability is questionable. I only keep it on my browser only for the lack of alternatives and no other reason.Developer response
posted 7 years agoHey John.
I have tested it on several sites. If there is one that does not work, please mention it specifically. I will work to figure out why and make it work.
Unfortunately all firefox content-script addons are disabled on the addons.mozilla.org site (as a security measure so that one addon cannot maliciously install further addons I believe).
(the note right above this link is the only stated documenation I could find). https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Modify_a_web_page#Modifying_pages_that_match_a_URL_pattern
Sorry for the confusion on that. Hope the addon has been useful otherwise. And I will endeavor to test it on more sites as I come across them.
I appreciate the feedback, sorry for it not working in that particular case. - Rated 2 out of 5by chris p, 8 years ago
