- Rated 4 out of 5by theFlash2K5, 7 years agoThe add-on is almost to the point where I'd consider it a worthy successor to FireGestures. It's not as feature rich, but that's not the fault of the dev - it just won't be able to be as feature rich when Mozilla is limiting what the new API's can do.
That being said, there are a few things that have prevented me from switching over to this add-on before I decide to upgrade to FF57.
I think it needs a little more options for customization. For instance, it lets you directly save an image or bring up the save image dialogue, but it can be a little annoying to deal with. Like a few other add-ons, it defaults to the 'downloads' directory, which isn't what I want. I'd rather have the option to map a mouse gesture to either "save page" or "save image as" instead of "save image." It's a small gripe, but a function I use quite often, so it's a sticking point for me.
Otherwise, I like the direction the add-on is going and I'm keeping an eye on it's development. Given how much FF57 is going to change, I don't plan on upgrading right away, so hopefully waiting and watching will be a good chance for add-ons to iron out and add in new features that can help restore some of the old functionality that we'll be losing when the new API's hit.
ETA: Read the dev's comments below. Good to know! I figured it was probably issues on Mozilla's end. With such a big change coming, there's bound to be issues. Thanks for the heads up.Developer response
posted 7 years agoI've already opened an issue on Bugzilla about the "save image as" issue. That is a problem with Firefox, not the addon. See: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1395207 - Rated 5 out of 5by mohamad, 7 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by MJ54, 7 years agoor when you open extensions in Firefox.
Other than that, it's working OK.Developer response
posted 7 years agoNo web extension addons work on AMO or in about: pages. This is a limitation of web extensions. This is written in the addon description. - Rated 5 out of 5by CanIregisterThisTime, 7 years agoI can see the purple lines but nothing happens. Go to the extension's option page and there's nothing there. Still gets a five star review because ordinarily it works quite well considering the limitations of webextensions.
Edit - Nevermind! Works fine after a browser restart. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13379668, 7 years agoDoes not work at all. The right click menu still shows up, so you can't perform any gestures.

posted 7 years agoPlease read the addon description before installing. This issue is stated there at the end of the description. - Rated 5 out of 5by RatWorks, 8 years agoKeep up the good work, it's very much appreciated.
I wish people wouldn't rate add-on's down because they don't do things that aren't possible to do anymore. Actually, I just hope that doesn't annoy you anything like it annoys me :) Developer response
posted 8 years agoRocker gestures are 95% finished, just doing a lot of testing. Coming soon.- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13352520, 8 years agowhen I'm using linux, the right click will instantly open a right-click-menu, so addons can be drawn correctly. Maybe is the way linux handles mouse events.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12947434, 8 years agoI need "Search for Selection in New Tab".
please add gesture. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13359274, 8 years agoit's good, but adding touchpad gesture makes it better
- Rated 5 out of 5by Max, 8 years agoLooking good.
But still far from CentBrowser Gestures experience
Please add gestures:
• close current tab & open left one
• close current tab & open right one
really missing those when working on FF
Thanks - Rated 5 out of 5by YF, 8 years agoWorks as designed. It does not provide all feature that older extensions like firegesture provided, but works smoothly.
Wood love the following features:
- Option to protect fixed tabs from closing by gesture
- Make gestures work on all tabs. Also support internal pages like add-ons pages (perhaps an option to include/exclude certain url ranges)
Keep on the great work - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12741840, 8 years agoThanks for bringing mouse gestures to the nex firefox extension model. I'm in love with mouse gestures since their early days in the original Opera Browser and I cannot image to use a browser without them.
Thanks for bringing them back. :) - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 10579522, 8 years agoI'm happy to see this functionality available in v.57, which initially strikes me as limited, but hopefully that will change ... having my Close Tab and Open Link in New Tab functions available with gestures is great ... couldn't find a way to add a Navigate to Upper URL Level yet, tho, something that was in FireGestures ... Mark- thanks for your work on this extension and I'm sure Gomita would be happy to see this :)
- Rated 5 out of 5by Steffen Langer, 8 years agoGreat add-on. Thank you for the great work, Mark!
I am looking forward to seeing rocker gestures in 1.0.9.
Cheers,
Steffen - Rated 3 out of 5by CEBMetal, 8 years agoBut it's not working on my first PC (Linux Mint 18.2 64bits) : when I right click, trail is drawn but a menu appears and after, there's no action.
With the same version of FF on Windows 10 on my other, Foxy Gestures works perfectly ...Developer response
posted 8 years agoPlease read the addon description again. The reason is stated at the bottom. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13325296, 8 years agoThere are already many requests for this, but this simply can't be stressed enough - working on "about:*" and new tabs is simply essential, without it the workflow can be very un-smooth. Moreover, please include as many built in commands as possible from Firegestures (view image for example is missing, but very useful), not everyone can write scripts after all.

posted 8 years agoIf you are missing a command, request it on GitHub. Web extensions don't have access to about: and internal pages, and will never be supported unless Mozilla decides to provide access to them. - Rated 2 out of 5by Thany, 8 years agoDoesn't work in a new tab. Speaking of which, a new tab, in my config, is supposed to open speed dial. Ctrl+T does that, but this addons somehow doesn't do that. Just do Ctrl+T, okay?
Also doesn't work in the addons tab, or in the preferences.
Also the rocker gesture is missing. (Hold left + press right -> forward, hold right + press left -> backward)
Also why is the config UI so...? For instance, why is the mouse button drop down as wide as my screen??
A LOT of work is still needed.Developer response
posted 8 years agoYour problem with the UI aside, everything else you've mentioned is web extensions limitations. Not working on internal pages is stated in bold right up there in the addon description. Rocker gestures are work-in-progress and will arrive eventually.
