I don't really enjoy to see money, cigar and poker attributed to gentlemens.For me to be a gentleman shouldn't be stereotyped and limited to this superficial elements. A gentleman it's not about smoking, playing poker or being millionair, it's really superficial. For me a real gentleman is someone that have great values of heart and soul (intellectuality, generosity, not materialist but refined, sensible, in harmony with his yin side), combined to a elegant and refined apparence (to match with it).
But apparently in our society gentlemens are much more mafias people, or materialist/superficial. While the word gentleman hold the essence of virtue, but apparently womens tend to like mens that play with the apparence of gentlemen's, instead to be really a gentleman in his soul. So i totally dislike that gentlemen's are limited to money, cigar,poker. It's stereotyps created by society, and apparently gentlemen's should show a apparence of materialism, luxury or elements like cigard, to be considered as gentlemens. So stereotyped and superficial. And saddly womens fall in the trap of this illusion. No, i don't think that materialist mens or mens playing with their apparence to "look alike" gentlemens are gentlemens.
