Gmail Word Count runs only on mail.google.com. It reads the text of the email you are writing in the page to count words and characters; the text is never stored or transmitted. Your display settings are stored locally in your browser. If you buy or restore Pro, the email address you enter is sent to the developer's license API (and to Stripe for payment) only to verify the one-time purchase. No analytics, no tracking.
