About this extension
This extension shows how much text sits on each slide of a Google Slides presentation and in the deck as a whole. The free version has no limit and needs no account. Pro costs $5.99 once, no subscription.
WHAT IT DOES
Click the toolbar icon while a presentation is open. The popup lists every page of the deck with its count and a bar, so overloaded pages stand out at a glance. The total sits on top, and skipped pages are marked and can be left out.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open a presentation in your browser.
2. Click the icon.
3. Read the total and the numbers per page, or copy them as a short summary.
FREE
• Total for the whole deck, without a limit.
• A count and a bar for each page.
• Skipped pages marked, with a switch to include or exclude them.
• Copy the summary to the clipboard.
PRO ($5.99, LIFETIME)
• Speaker notes counted per page and in total.
• Speaking time estimated for each part and for the full talk.
• Your own pace, from 100 to 180 per minute.
• A CSV file listing title, text, notes, characters and time for the deck.
PRIVACY
The extension reads the presentation only in the tab you have open, and only after you click its icon. It loads the same file you would get from the download menu, counts it on your computer and keeps nothing. On first use it asks once for access to Google's file hosts, which it needs only for that download. Nothing is uploaded to the developer. The only data sent anywhere is the email you enter to buy or restore Pro, which is checked against the payment.
