Slides Word Count reads a presentation only when you click its icon on a Google Slides tab. It downloads the same .pptx file that File > Download offers (optional access to docs.google.com and Google's file host, asked once), counts the text on your computer and discards it; nothing is uploaded. The only data that leaves the browser is the email address you enter to buy or restore Pro: it is sent to Stripe (payment) and to the developer license API (https://lakeside-ext-api.expo.app), which answers whether a purchase exists. No analytics, no tracking. Full policy: https://lakesideapps.expo.app/extensions/privacy/
