BUGS FOUND:
- If the item starts with a symbol such as a (, it fails to download.
- If you have 2 items labelled such as bob 2017 and the another item directly below called bob, it ignores the 2nd item. They must be checking using a LIKE statement rather than an exact method.
- Certain symbols seem to break downloads
- Endless downloading of the same file causing lots of (1), (2) filenames... usually 0 Byte files.
I appreciate all the work gone into this but it simply does not work correctly (Version 1.5.2). It could be awesome but it simply misses things.
I have about 70+bundles and it has failed to download all items in a bundle except maybe 5 very small bunldes. It misses things consistently. Even if you re-run the download, the same items are missed. The box that appears at the start shows the correct values (21 PDF, 21 EPUB...). However, if you actually look in the folder after it has finished and count the actual files downloaded, they'll always be ones missing. The last item seems to be a common culprit, but not always.
You can also see on the downloads page that it tries to download the same file multiple times. An example is the "Become a Linux Master by Packt". It detects 21 PDF's but downloads 20 PDF. You can see it has tried to download the same pdf twice. The situation is worse for large bundles. I think its failing (due to characters, names or something) on items then using the previous items value and ends up trying to download the same thing again.
Sorry, but I don't have time to go through every bundle file type to try work out what item has been missed by comparing it to the HumbleBundle page.
Hopefully the author can fix the issues or release the code on GitHub so others can take a look. If it worked as expected, definite 5 stars. There are other tools on GitHub but this one renames the files in a really nice manner. - Rated 1 out of 5by Kat, 2 years agoIt launches individual book downloads instead of bulking it, something does not work here as intended.
