    Version 0.10.2

    Released Oct 28, 2026 - 468.36 KB
Works with firefox 58.0 and later
    0.10.1 · October 28, 2026
The practice form on the welcome page now demonstrates a fill with a made-up applicant, typed in box by box. You can watch it before setting up your profile, and your own details are never used there.
    0.10.0 · October 28, 2026
Applications over several pages: after you fill the first step, LocalApply fills the next steps of the same application as they appear on that site. You can turn this off in the popup. It still never presses Next or Submit.
The log is a small tracker: each application has a status (applied, interview, offer, rejected), your own notes, and the job description saved from the posting. The popup shows the status when you return to a company you applied to before.
More job blocks: when a form has fewer job or school blocks than your profile, the popup offers to add them with the form’s own Add button and fill them.
“Why wasn’t something filled?”: the popup lists every field and what happened to it. It can also save a copy of the form for a bug report, without what you typed.
Saving answers: answers are now learned from dropdowns and radio buttons too. You can save a field’s content from the right-click menu, and the saved-answers list has search and shows how often each answer was used.
Practice form on the welcome page.
Newly recognised sites: Workable, iCIMS, Taleo, softgarden, d.vinci, rexx, Umantis and JOIN.
Fixed: when an earlier job or school block was already filled, the next empty block got your first entry again instead of the next one.
Fixed: LocalApply’s own on-page card was sometimes treated as part of the form.

    Version 0.9.1

    Released Oct 28, 2026 - 442.81 KB
Works with firefox 58.0 and later
    0.9.1 · October 28, 2026
Dropdowns have a new arrow that matches the other boxes and your colour theme.
The phone boxes on the profile page line up with the fields around them.
The welcome page title looks crisp again in dark mode.
    0.9.0 · October 28, 2026
LocalApply learns your answers: when you type an answer to a question it couldn’t fill, a small card offers to save it for next time. The company name and job title in your answer become {company} and {position}, so it fits the next employer. Nothing is kept unless you press Save.
Fill any single field: right-click a form field and choose “Fill this field with” to pick one of your details or saved answers.
“Applied there before?”: the popup tells you when your log already has that company, with the dates and job titles.
Welcome page: it opens on install and explains LocalApply in three steps.

    Added
Work history and education as lists, newest first. Each entry has dates, and jobs also have a location and what you did.
A form with several job or school blocks gets one entry per block, in order.
Dates are written the way each box wants them: month inputs, MM/YYYY, a month or year on its own, or a month name.
Workday’s experience and education blocks have site-specific handling. It was built from Workday’s markup and hasn’t been tried on a live posting yet.
Several profiles, for example one per language or kind of job.
You create (empty or as a copy), rename and delete them on the profile page, and choose one in the popup before filling.
The application log notes which profile filled each form.

    Changed
Work experience and Education cards replace the Background section, and the highest education level moved into Education.
Profiles saved by earlier versions are upgraded automatically: the current job and school become the first entries.
“Delete all data” removes every profile.

  • Version 0.7.0

    Released Oct 22, 2026 - 356.41 KB
Works with firefox 58.0 and later
    0.7.0
    Added
Spoken languages with a level (A1–C2, or native). A “Languages” box gets the whole list. A question about one language (“Deutschkenntnisse”, “proficiency in English”, “Niveau d’allemand”) gets that language’s level, worded the way the form words it.
Driving licence (yes/no and classes), willingness to travel, and minimum and maximum salary, recognised in all eight languages. The salary range falls back to your expected salary.
{company} and {position} in the cover letter and saved answers are replaced with the employer and job title from the posting, also when the form is in an embedded frame. If the page doesn’t give them, that text is left for you to fill.
Application log: each filled form is recorded with date, company, job title and link, in the browser only. It’s on by default, and in the new Applications section you can turn it off, remove entries, clear it or export it as CSV. “Delete all data” clears it too.
    Changed
Optional fields (salary range, licence classes) no longer lower the profile-completion percentage.
The privacy policy and the Chrome Web Store data disclosures now describe the application log.

    0.6.2
    Added
Installing LocalApply opens the profile page, with a “Start here” note while the profile is empty.
The toolbar button and the logos in the popup and on the profile page take the chosen palette’s colour.
The extension’s name, summary and store listings in all eight languages.
MIT license, and a GitHub workflow that runs every check and the end-to-end test on each push.

    0.6.1
    Added
Theme switch: System, Light or Dark. The popup, dropdowns and date pickers follow it.

    0.6.0
    Added
Sexual orientation in the voluntary disclosures. It’s blank unless you set it, and it’s matched in all eight languages.

    Changed
Phone number as three linked boxes: country code, number and full number. The one-box-or-two switch is gone.
On wide screens the profile sheet is centered, with the section index to its left.

    0.5.0
    Added
Highest education level (high school to PhD), picked from radio buttons or dropdowns in any of the eight languages, and also used for “Degree” dropdowns that list levels.
Five colour palettes (Forest, Ocean, Plum, Clay, Graphite), each with a dark version.

    - The extension can no longer write raw HTML into a page; the unused code that could has been removed.

  • Version 0.4.0

    Released Oct 20, 2026 - 311.07 KB
Works with firefox 58.0 and later
    New
    - LocalApply now speaks your language: the profile page, the popup and the notice on job pages are available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Polish. It starts in your browser's language; change it with the language menu at the top of the profile page.
    Changed
    - A fresh look: warm paper-and-ink colours with a green accent, in light and dark mode, with new typefaces and a green icon.
    - The profile page reads like one document with numbered sections. An index beside it shows how much of each section you've filled in and highlights the section you're reading. Voluntary disclosures are marked optional and never count towards the total.
    - Choosing between "country code + number" and "full number" for your phone is now one clear two-part control.
    - After each change is saved, "All changes saved" briefly turns green with a check mark.

  • Version 0.3.0

    Released Oct 16, 2026 - 110.26 KB
Works with firefox 58.0 and later
    0.3.0

    New
    - Enter your phone number either as country code and number in two boxes, or as one full number such as +1234567890. Forms that ask either way are still filled.

    Changed
    - When a form doesn't show which date order it expects, dates are now typed as DD-MM-YYYY (was YYYY-MM-DD). Date pickers built into the browser still get the format they require.

    0.2.1

    Changed
    - Firefox: the add-on now uses the ID of its listing on addons.mozilla.org. If you installed an earlier version by hand rather than from the store, export your profile before updating and import it afterwards.

    0.2.0

    New
    - Undo: "Undo fill" in the toolbar popup, or "Undo" in the notice on the page, puts every filled field back the way it was. Custom dropdowns keep their choice; they are listed and outlined so you can change them back by hand.
    - The popup explains the outlines: solid for filled, dashed for needs you.

    Changed
    - Outlines differ in line style as well as colour (solid green for filled, dashed amber for needs you), so you no longer have to tell green from amber.
    - The profile page keeps its section links and save status in view while you scroll.
    - The floating "Fill application" button on job sites is turned off for now. Fill from the toolbar popup or with Alt+Shift+F.

    Fixed
    - "Do you hold a valid visa?" was answered with the sponsorship answer, which is the opposite question.
    - Address line 2 was filled with the street.
    - Short questions about "our company" were filled with your current employer.
    - A CV upload in a form of its own was skipped.
    - Filling changed a dropdown that already showed your choice.
    - An answer saved from the popup for a question containing commas was used for unrelated questions.
    - Saved-answer keywords matched inside other words ("age" in "languages").
    - A dropdown could pick a hidden option that belonged to another dropdown.
    - Searchable dropdowns only tried your exact wording ("Deutschland" never found "Germany"), and left the typed text behind when nothing matched.
    - Rich text editors could look filled but submit empty.
    - An answer saved from the popup was lost when the profile page was open in another tab.
    - The notice after filling showed in the page's serif font instead of the system font.
