- Rated 3 out of 5by KevK, 4 years agoWhy is there no standard Option / Setting to not show the ICON in the Adress-Bar and I have to manually hide it via FireFox if I want it on without showing the distracting Icon, also a second Option to NOT show the numbers of currently blocked items on the icon is necessary, AdBlockPlus for example does both of this, as they know some people don't want to be distracted and need to manage their space in bars on their own.

I'll pass this on to our developers. - Rated 5 out of 5by Jayson, 4 years agoMalwarebytes Premium is by far the best protection you can get for your computer. This Browser Guard is also great, I've been using it for a few months, wanted to try it before writing my review.

Original review: This extension literally blocks all downloads. Until they fix this, I consider it faulty and not worth a positive rating.Developer response

While we get this fixed, temporarily disable "Scams Protection" on the page you want to download from. - Rated 5 out of 5by WhiteSnowWolf, 4 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Nordic, 4 years agoAdd me to the list of those having downloads instantly cancelled. Just started recently. No problems before. Just image files at first and today started blocking .mp4 files. Help!!
Update - just added Malwarebytes Browser Guard to Chrome and the downloads work fine.Developer response

I could work around this but it was easier just to disable the add on.

There was no way to fix this, so I had to uninstall this altogether. If there was an option to turn that off, then I'd give this 5 stars.
Other than that, this extension served it's purpose of blocking access to shady websites which I really appreciated, but that download cancellation thing became too annoying to deal with.Developer response
posted 4 years agoHey Ty, you're right, that is annoying and I'm sorry you had this experience! We've identified the source of this bug and we will get it fixed as soon as possible.
If you decide to reinstall the extension, you can workaround this bug till the fix is live. Click on the extension icon and temporarily disable "Scams Protection" on the page you want to download from. - Rated 5 out of 5by Kimiluch, 4 years agoI am really satisfied with this extension on FF 64bits but, surprisingly, the latest update brought a weird bug with image file types only: Malwarebytes browser guard won’t let me save them (using right click on an image then “Save image as”) unless I disable it. In the download pane, it reads “Canceled” under the image filename. And I only mean the action “Save image as” coz when I use right click then “Save link as” when an image file has a download link then it is saved. I checked the extension on chrome (32 and 64bits) and it works OK with “Save image as”. Edit: Bug corrected. 5 stars back!

In the meantime, temporarily disable "Scams Protection" on the page you want to download from. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14384920, 4 years ago
