- Rated 1 out of 5by grahamperrin, 4 days agoBrowser performance (with many tabs) suffers terribly if both Malware and Scams are switched on in addition to Ads/Trackers. For Malware, and for Scams, global switches are terribly broken: after switching off globally at one tab, I find both features wrongly switched on globally at another tab. I'll gather debug logs and discuss in the forums.
Also, the release notes here at AMO are wildly inconsistent with the release notes at the Malwarebytes website.Developer response

William (Support)
Hi Diego,
Thanks for contacting Malwarebytes Customer Support!
My name is William and I will help you with ticket #4734637.
The Firefox extension and the Chrome extension need to be approved by different companies.
Firefox ix is sometimes very slow in approving new versions
Since Firefox is slow in approving new versions, there may be times when the versions between Firefox and Chrome will be different
Please be assured that as soon as Firefox approves the new version, it will be updated to the latest version
This is not a Malwarebytes issue, it is a Firefox issue.
my final Firefox version build are now 136.0.1 (64 bit) and Versione di Malwarebytes Browser Guard 2.6.27 are only update 11 Jun 2024.
So I really kindly ask you, so to approve their latest build version 3.0.14 that they released this March 2025 that has already been released for chrome and for Edge so you are the only one missing to approve their latest build of March 2025.
At this point I really kindly await your response to my request.
Best regards

posted 15 days agoHi Diego, this is Cameron from Malwarebytes. Unfortunately this review only goes to the Malwarebytes team, not the Firefox team.
I appreciate your support and your desire for the latest version!
v3.0.14 was submitted to Firefox about 5 days ago, in the past it takes about 7 days to approve (due to this being an add-on with a larger user base). - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18827930, 2 months agoHas started making websites slow to load, especially Outlook and a few others.

- Rated 1 out of 5by edenflare, 3 months agoSlowed my firefox down so much that it caused a halt in loading 50 tabs.
I don't think this addon understands the difference between good websites and bad ones. It blocks 90% or more of the internet.Developer response

Disabled it and realised I don't need to keep using Chrome as a work round.

posted 3 months agoThank you for letting us know, this should be addressed in the next release.

- Rated 1 out of 5by hamslamwich, 4 months agoAs adblockers go this thing is ridiculously overzealous. Blocks the purchase button from working if the website doesn't pass some kind of inscrutable vibe test.
Usually this is merely annoying but recently it made me miss reordering some prescription eyedrops for my dog.
Run away from here, ublock Origin on its own is fine! Run away!Developer response

Constantly deletes items on my clipboard whenever it feels like it. Causes WordPress backend to crash. Youtube adblock complains that Mbam is messing with ad scripts. This extensions acts more like malware itself.

posted a year agoHey there, we are working on a long-term solution for this without sacrificing protection from copy hijacking. If you add the sites you trust to your scam allow list, you won't see this issue. Developer response

posted a year agoThis sounds like an issue with your Firefox browser, not Browser Guard because Firefox does the installation, not us.
