- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16651110, 4 years agoThis doesn't really work. It quite consistently fetches the wrong PDF (especially on PubMed). I don't know why, but I hope this feedback helps address this issue.

posted 4 years agoThank you for writing this review. Could you provide some example URLs where this is happening? - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15017967, 4 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 16529675, 4 years agoThe extension does its job of adding references to your library. However, I feel it lacks a basic feature that is provided both by ZoteroBib and Google Scholar: proving formatted citations in multiple styles (including BibTex). Another suggestion: please let us disable that obtrusive "Get the PDF" button.

posted 4 years agoHi there! The feature to disable the View PDF button will be in the next release (or the next release but one). Formatted citations are available from Mendeley Desktop once the reference is imported. We are monitoring demand to be able to copy the formatted citation directly from the extension and will add your feedback in support of this feature. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16362332, 4 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by James F, 4 years agoUpdated review: I have noticed some improvements in recent use (over previous versions and complaints). As a researcher and software developer I do realize it's been updated and I appreciate the renewed effort to this product since it's vital to keep research from wasting time just downloading bibtex and articles. Really, Mendely is to beind the curve without a good scraper tool. Having said that it's a still a major pain in off-campus logins (especially via SSO). Ideally, I could grab articles directly from Scholar or other search engines in batches. Less ideally but still not as infuriating is being able to consistently get PDF and bib file via whichever main publisher from the article site and not have to going to the PDF at all.
As a researcher, I can tell you this is one of the most frustrating ways to collect articles. On scholar, it can never find the pdf but gets the bibtex. Click to the PDF it can't find the bibtex. This extension is slower and more annoying than downloading everything yourself. It's been the same for years now...so don't believe the coming soon. It's like they don't talk to academics.Developer response
