- Rated 2 out of 5by Alex, 4 months agoIt is slow, and full of bugs. It used to bes to that pfs could be imported / added when viewed in Firefox, this is no longer the case, and the plugin wont even open. It is not possible to close the popup after on completes adding a site or reference. You have to close the pane all together, and then reopen if youre not done. Somehow, it seems Mendeley gets more buggy, and overall quality deteriorates with every update. I will surely look into your competition as this wastes to much of my time and focus!

- Rated 2 out of 5by rererere, 4 years agothe "silent" login from the mendeley extension pops up a window every time i start firefox which is REALLY annoying
even better: every time i close firefox i get logged out of the plugin and when i restart it i have to login again if i want to use it. while that is fine for me what does the "silent login" do then if its not even logging in?! - Rated 2 out of 5by Adricu, 4 years agoIt is currently not working for Firefox 88.0 on Ubuntu. It is impossible to log in through the Add-on.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Benyamin Limanto, 4 years agoThis tools is good, but the problem is simple, it keep at poping up a tab and that cause problem for me. I think my computer get virus, but after looking at the URL, It's elsevier URL so yeah... It's mendeley...
UPDATE : Please create the ability via background tab or API, using pop up is unacceptable tbh.. it's bad for UI...Developer response
posted 4 years agoThanks for your feedback. This is indeed our "silent" login, which is clearly not silent enough!
We are actually looking to update how we log in in the near future so you won't have to see this screen pop up anymore, I hope this helps! - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 16529675, 4 years agoThe extension does its job of adding references to your library. However, I feel it lacks a basic feature that is provided both by ZoteroBib and Google Scholar: proving formatted citations in multiple styles (including BibTex). Another suggestion: please let us disable that obtrusive "Get the PDF" button.

posted 4 years agoHi there! The feature to disable the View PDF button will be in the next release (or the next release but one). Formatted citations are available from Mendeley Desktop once the reference is imported. We are monitoring demand to be able to copy the formatted citation directly from the extension and will add your feedback in support of this feature. - Rated 2 out of 5by Guan, 5 years agoFor some reasons the button leads to 'enhanced reader' instead of the import popup. Am I missing anything here?
Developer response
posted 5 years agoHi Guan. Clicking the extension icon in the toolbar will always launch the import popup. Clicking the 'View PDF' widget will always launch the Enhanced Reader (you can add to Mendeley from there too).
