As several other reviewers have pointed out, however, its customization options are surprisingly limited.
1. Color Selection
For the life of me, I cannot understand why we're limited to such a small selection of preset colors, with no ability to adjust their shades or hues.
With multiple containers, I frequently end up assigning the same color to completely unrelated categories, making them considerably harder to distinguish. I've become accustomed to working around this limitation, but the flexibility of a proper color picker would be AMAZING!
2. Icon Selection
The same concept applies here. There are awkward icons to choose from, and many don't accurately represent the purpose of the containers we're creating.
One particularly surprising example is EMAIL! I would venture to guess that separating email accounts is one of the most common uses for this extension. Yet, somehow, we have icons representing a dog and a tree, but absolutely nothing representing email! No letter, no envelope, not even an @ symbol!
With the enormous variety of recognizable emojis available today, it's almost amusing how limited the current icon selection feels!
Despite these minor frustrations, Firefox Multi-Account Containers remains an EXCELLENT extension that I genuinely appreciate and use regularly.
The organizational benefits alone make it an incredibly valuable addition to Firefox, and I wouldn't want these customization limitations to overshadow the wonderful experience this extension already provides.
It's ALREADY so powerful and useful that I can hardly imagine how much MORE amazing it could be with something as simple as a customizable color picker and a broader selection of recognizable icons! 🤯
But regardless of whether those options ever become available, this extension has absolutely earned its place in my browser!
If you value organization, privacy, and keeping your browsing activities neatly separated, YOU NEED THIS EXTENSION!
DON'T EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT IT. JUST INSTALL IT!

THANK YOU to everyone involved in creating and maintaining such a fantastic extension!

1. It's extremely useful for multi-account scenarios—a fantastic extension. There's an icon indicator in the current tab's address bar, and when you open a new container it carries over the current tab's website, which is very convenient—for example, when I want to log into multiple Gmail/Claude Code accounts. Meanwhile, opening a new container from the extension icon keeps it so that only a new tab opens without carrying over the current website—very smooth and very thoughtful!
2. For tools like Claude Code/CodeX, when initiating authentication from the CLI, entering Firefox gets intercepted and paused so I can choose which container to open the link in—this is great! Rather than automatically going into some container, thumbs up!
3. The extension icon and extension panel have neutral colors and a compact layout, which suits my aesthetic very well.
There's just one small issue:
I use a regular tab and multiple different containers to open the same website. When I restart the browser and it restores them, I expected that clicking a tab to load it wouldn't prompt me to choose an opening method again, but would instead use the previous one.
But the flaw does not outweigh the merits—this is a truly excellent extension. It's also one of the reasons I've always used Firefox as my main browser.🦊🌟👍 - Rated 5 out of 5by JT, 11 days ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by István56, 17 days agoFor now, there are two things I really don't like about Firefox Multi-Account Containers.
1. When I switch containers, it always opens a new tab instead of focusing on the first existing one or doing something similar. Except, of course, if that container doesn't have any open tabs yet.
2. There is no option in the settings to display only the tabs of the selected container—meaning to hide the tabs of the others.
It is precisely because of these issues that I still use the Conex extension. My only problem with it is that it automatically sorts the containers in alphabetical order, even though that's exactly what I don't want. The old Tab Groups extension was able to do this, but unfortunately, the author didn't update it, so it became unusable.
Because of these exact reasons, I am giving it only 1 star! - Rated 5 out of 5by Timofey Kochetkov, 21 days ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18289679, 25 days agoI've been using this add-on for a while now. Works flawlessly, very useful. I'm not a big fan of the new colours though as some colours look very similar now (blue/green, pink/red, red/orange, pink/purple). I often have tabs open in up to six colours at work and they had helped me find the right tab immediately but since the latest update they're harder to differentiate than before.
