Privacy policy for New Tab After
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data. There is no
account, no analytics, no telemetry, and no network communication of any kind.
To place a newly opened tab and to return you to the tab you were viewing, the
extension reads, for tabs in the window you are working in:
- the position of each tab in the tab strip;
- which tab is active, and which tab a new tab was opened from;
- the timestamp your browser records for when each tab was last viewed;
- whether a tab is pinned.
It does not read the address, title, page content, form data, cookies, or
browsing history of any tab. It declares no host permissions, injects no scripts
into any page, and loads no remote code.
One value per browser window: the numeric id of the tab you were viewing before
the current one. This is kept in
storage.session, which your browser holds inmemory and discards when the browser closes. It never leaves your device.
Nothing else is stored.
