- Rated 4 out of 5by Michael Pachta, 5 years agoUnfortunately, logging into eBay does not work when this add-on is active. I end up in an eternal loop of reCaptchas. No way to escape. Only when I disable Canvas Defender I can log in.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14025195, 6 years agoWorks as advertised, but every time it it detects an attempt to fingerprint you get a notification. It gets to be very annoying and there is no way to disable the alert.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14464259, 6 years agoWhen using on localhost, it causes issues viewing xml files. This should be fixed. There should be a way for this plugin to be disabled on localhost or 127.0.0.1

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13717542, 7 years agoIt's ok but why do I need a popup window for every canvas reading attempt? Just handle it silently ffs and quit disturbing me dozens of times a day!
Edit 3/28/18 came here again because the popups are still annoying. mobileusa's solution doesn't change anything. I already had it set to a time interval of 3 minutes. I changed it to a week and it makes no difference to the popup. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firebird, 7 years agoAccording to this article "https://adblockplus.org/blog/adblock-plus-and-the-canvas-fingerprinting-threat" by Wladimir Palant, lead developer at Adblock Plus, anyone who has EasyPrivacy filter list enabled in Adblock Plus is essentially protected from Canvas fingerprinting.
My question for developer of Canvas Defender is: Do you really need this extension if you are using Adblock Plus or Ublock Origin with EasyPrvacy enabled?
My rating of this extension is based solely on limited use in Firefox Nightly, which I have installed alongside Firefox beta. It did not seem to cause any new problems. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13385995, 7 years agotiene un fallo con gmail, que impide la carga, sin embargo con la versión para conexiones lentas no tiene ningun problema
- Rated 4 out of 5by Tulirebane, 8 years agoAgree with Fred - would like this to generate the profile automatically and a way to disable notifications (why not use a badge instead?).
- Rated 4 out of 5by Joe Nicolas, 8 years agoThis addon really works! Thanks for making this addon. But, can I request a new feature? Please add option to "Generate new noise every browser restart." That would be very useful for me. Please consider my request. I think that's a simple request. For now I will leave it with 4 stars. :)
- Rated 4 out of 5by Fred Thompson, 8 years agoI agree with suggestion to automatically create a new profile on each startup (each tab opening?)
Would REALLY like a way to disable the popup messages!!! - Rated 4 out of 5by Kawzen, 8 years agoFF55.03 64
it's working as described
just if u can add an option to regenerate a new noise every session it would be perfect! - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13160294, 8 years agoI've been really happy with how well this extension works, especially with the Alpha/Beta releases leading into Firefox 57. However, I just recently encountered the issue reported on 28 Aug where the web interfaces for some of our intranet appliances were broken when the extension is enabled. A whitelist would be a great addition while such issues are investigated.
- Rated 4 out of 5by laconic, 8 years agoWith the last updates this has become the best anti-fingerprinting solution so far, but could it be possible to add an option to don't receive a notification when a possible attempt of fingerprinting is detected?
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13181440, 8 years agoQuelle surprise de découvrir certains sites prétendument "sérieux" pratiquer du canvas fingerprinting, grâce à cet addon. L'addon mérite quelques ajouts, comme une notification permanente sur l'icône (la notification "toast" disparait trop vite).
Sinon, vraiment bien. - Rated 4 out of 5by NDAS, 8 years agoIf you are using any Google service - such as Blogger - and attempt to edit any WYSIWYG form, the page will not allow you to edit at the code level and with crash.
Google is fingerprinting ever time you enter such as subsystem! You will have to disable Canvas Defender when using such forms.
