by Firefox user 16424994, 6 years agoThis is an addon for paying users, yet it now forces me to solve a captcha at every login after a browser restart.
NordVPN markets itself as privacy respecting company, but insults the intelligence of customers by utilizing a for-profit captcha with hcaptcha, a company which accepts bids for the captchas solved by users to label training data for companies, potentially a very real threat to privacy through finer grained surveillance.
Keeping an extension logged in securely is not a difficult task and nobody else so far needed a captcha to keep users logged in consistently, so why not be honest with paying customers for once?
