- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13694987, 8 years agoAgree with the comments about Version 21.0. The ability to edit on the same page is what I loved about the original Print Edit. I'm glad this was fixed to now work with the new Firefox. Many thanks again.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12825085, 8 years agoWhen the updated version of this program was originally implemented, there were MAJOR problems. At that time it was doing the exact opposite of what I needed it to do. It would lose the information I wanted to save/print, but it would hold on to the superfluous info. I would have wanted to delete. I am happy to report that the problem has now been corrected. This version so far seems to have added the updates without having lost the useful features of the "legacy" version. Thanks for fixing the issues that took place when the update was initially implemented. Great work.
(Just one thing though - I seemed to have run into a glitch recently when I used the program - one that I see was mentioned by "Anonymous user 6ac49b". It will sometimes print things that don't appear on the page when you look at the preview prior to printing.) This was the first time it happened. So I'm hoping it was just a one-time occurrence. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13691037, 8 years agoClean implementation.
Allows you to edit a page, save the result as either html or pdf or print it.
Only issue is that it will sometime try to print things that don't show up on the page.
You can get around this by delete except and/or editing the html after saving it though.Developer response

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 6126471, 8 years agoExtremely useful, if one wants to keep a "soft-copy in time" of a certain page without the clutter around. Formatting features allow text to be well presented, too.

posted 8 years agoPlease try Print Edit WE 21.0 which has been substantially re-desiged- Rated 1 out of 5by 18HopeCSF, 8 years agoComplete and absolute crap: Each time you try to use it, it creates e new tab with the page you just opened, refreshing all the page and erasing all the information it had. If you want to print a page with no info it's OK, not spectacular but OK.
I suppose it has to do with the firefox update, but the previous addons was far more reliable and useful. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13596439, 8 years agoUseless if the web page has data embedded. Excellent if it doesn't. In other words, the "prep" stage rerenders the default settings of the web page, which automatically eliminates any tables, data or page rendering options selected on the web page prior to selecting print edit. 90% of my work is on websites with embedded data tables. The old version allowed print editing of the selected version of the web page without having to rerender the web page. It worked perfectly. Now that feature no longer exists. Please add that feature to this app or allow us to use the legacy version of Print Edit. Yes, the new Print Edit WE produces a higher quality print/pdf but quality is irrelevant if you can't print the required data.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13573442, 8 years agoUsed to have an edit button next to the orientation on the print preview screen. I don't know why they got rid of this feature. Now none of my documents will print in web style.

posted 8 years agoJust click on the Web Style button before previewing or printing. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13572884, 8 years agoIt works, but several missteps. LinkedIn: if you have clicked open the 'see more positions' under someone's bio, when the print edit page opens it is once again closed - a lot of missed information you can't print. Didn't have that problem with the old Print Edit. Also, Kroger digital coupons: in Print Edit I could view and print the objects/graphics of the coupons; it won't even open in WE - just shows a blank page.
Can these be corrected? I use the former for work as a researcher, so it's really NOT a good fit. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13572567, 8 years agoVery easy and precise control of the content of the page before printing.
Indispensable when there is a need print any "modern" Web page. - Rated 4 out of 5by Galen, 8 years agoI think this is a really handy extension.
But I think it's pretty lame to show advertising in your sample screen shots... :-\ - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13557254, 8 years agoIt is NOT working with Yahoo emails | Print ! "Cannot be used with this page" while "old Print Edit" was working !
Could you please fix it?
Thank you in advance!
Best Regards - Rated 1 out of 5by skaizun, 8 years agoIn Firefox 58 beta, this add-on creates a new tab showing the desired page. It seems to work. when I select elements of the page that I want printed, although you have to be careful about clicking within tables, frames, etc. But, when I submitted to print, the print preview showed the entire page! I'm not going to bother to waste paper and ink to see if it would have worked. Removed.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13543899, 8 years agoI used the save-as "purged" .txt format in the old Print Edit. Sure wish I could do that here. Shift-right click menu "save as .txt" saves everything, even after editing. I need "print-friendly" edited/purged text files, not oversize files full of HTML coding.
I tried selecting the entire edited text and Ctrl-C, but that doesn't put anything on the clipboard to copy into Notepad or other app to then save as .txt
Any chance we could get save-as purged txt format back?
Thank you. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12831127, 8 years agoune page en anglais majoritaire et quelques mots en français : comment faire ?
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13549423, 8 years agoGanz ehrlich: Print Edit war einfach besser!
