Proton Pass by Proton

by Firefox user 14363182, a year agoLike the Proton brand focused on customer privacy so have high hopes for this. A great start but some key functions not there...for example, many sites have more than two inputs to log in. Proton Pass only will recognize 2 so a lot of "cutting and pasting". Also some password managers will enable configuration of specific inputs to specific fields (in case the password manager can't figure out which field matches with what data is in the manager).
But the more one uses protonpass, the better it seems to work. Hopefully they will fix the limitations with quick updates.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Elle, 16 hours agoMostly really happy with the add-on, but the following issues/features take it down from five stars:
- disable autosave for this website doesn't seem to work
- defaults to individual vaults rather than all log-ins, which means I often have to manually change to find the password that I need (and was very confusing before I realised this was happening)
- can't/doesn't offer auto-populate when pages have a small pop-up login rather than the login elements being displayed in the page (although this depends on the exact website) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16517250, 19 hours ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Kyber, 2 days agoThe claim that internet connection is not required to access passwords, as stated in the extension's description, is misleading. Upon restarting Firefox (closing and reopening the browser) without an internet connection or access to Proton servers, the extension displays the error message: "Your session could not be resumed. (Internet connection lost)." This demonstrates that the extension relies on an active connection to function properly, contrary to the description.
