by Ariel, a year agoWhile this extension has its merits, it has a critical flaw that significantly impacts its usability for me. Since last year, the connection has become unstable in China, and there are times when I simply cannot connect, no matter how many attempts I make.
Additionally, the login process requires accessing the proton.me domain, which is not feasible in China. I have to use other tools to bypass the Great Firewall just to log in to ProtonVPN, which is quite absurd. The whole point of using ProtonVPN is to access the internet freely, yet I find myself needing to circumvent restrictions just to use the service.

Our team is working hard on improving our infrastructure so that all our users are able to connect more easily. However, once I removed it and installed it again, what I was missing was the confirmation button at the bottom of the first page that opens up, then on the next page it asks you to log in. Once logged in, THEN the extension icon worked correctly.
At least for a paid person. Not sure how that's supposed to work with the free version.Developer response

The extension keeps loading loading and loading. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it didn't work.
The Proton VPN in my MacOS works completely fine but I don't want to use that.Developer response

But this extension? It is more worthless than a boat on land.
The problem is that it never loads anything and just displays a window with a spinning circle on it, and the circle keeps spinning till I crash out and delete the extension.
Here's the process:
1. I pin this extension and then click on its icon
2. A small window appears and its loads... something.
3. It keeps loading.
4. It keeps loading.
Forever.
Yes, I reinstalled it multiple times.
Yes, I updated firefox.
I even rebooted once. Did not work at all. The ProtonVPN Linux CLI did though so its definitely not a network issue on my side.Developer response
