The Proton VPN has worked flawlessly, however it should be pointed out that I have had a number of issues based around cloud based services either responding with a 403 or 500. These seem to relate to specific services which detect and deal with proxy related services with a service specific response. When disconnecting from the VPN the servers respond in an expected way.
I believe that this is VPN based and not Proton based. It seems some of those submitting reviews may have experienced this.

It's sometimes annoying, slow and unstable. But I can't say a bad word about it because it's free and only sometimes bad

The best vpn, thanks to this now all my ecosystem is proton. One part that it sucks is in drive you just have 2 GB and that is not enough for me. But with the VPN in my opinion IS THE BEST VPN ADDON

Used on my phone for a while, now switched from google chrome to Firefox exclusively at home and on my phone, works perfectly between my PC and my phone.
I have also just subscribed to their premium $20 per month plan.
Well worth it! I have used their emails and drive as well for a while now. Great product suite
