It shows the parent folder alongside the folder name, so if you have multiple folders with the same name, you won't get confused. This makes organizing bookmarks quick and intuitive - exactly what this add-on promises.

I've noticed for some websites you have to press Tab a couple of times to focus the box to type, but I don't know if that's something that can be avoided, and it's a minor thing.
It would also be cool if this extension communicated with the native Firefox Add Bookmark dialog box, so that each one knew what was the most recent folder that the other one had used. Again, I don't know if that's possible. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12118840, 2 years agoWhen Default Bookmarks broke b on Mac Firefox 116.0.3 (would only save to the default folder), I found this add-on. Much simpler and does exactly what I needed.

BEWARE: the new version (0.1.2, December 26, 2021) brings a bug : the tab is ALWAYS closed after saving the bookmark, even when the checkbox "Auto-close tab after adding" is empty. It is annoying when you want to create a same bookmark in several folders successively (I almost always need to, for example when I want to bookmark a page in "Anatomy' and in "Surgery" folders or when I want to bookmark a page in "Genetics" and in "Oncology" folders).
Then, about the features, a first suggestion : it would be neat to have the keyboard focus directly in the text field when opening the widget.
A second suggestion : a tooltip showing the full path of the folder hovered by the mouse pointer in the resulting list. For two reasons : firstly because sometimes there are folders having exactly the same name in different parent trees and in that case we currently can't know which one to choose... and secondly because some folder names can sometimes (and actually often) be much longer than the widget width and in that case it may also induce confusions between several folders when the difference in these folder names is at the end of these long names (indices for example among many other examples), the ends being outside the width of the widget.
Cheers !Developer response
posted 3 years agoHi BlackWinny, thanks for your comment! I have just fixed the bug about the tab always being closed and released a new version (0.1.3).
Thank you for your suggestions as well. Regarding the first one, the text field should get the input focus automatically, at least it does in Chrome, I'll have to debug it in Firefox.
I'll think about your second suggestion as well. I added the name of the parent folder but certainly it may induce to error. Having some kind of tooltip with the full path when hovering would certainly be useful.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13268994, 4 years agoGreat extension, I am a long time user, but I write this because the latest version is not good, the fonts look different, like diffused, and the green splash stays very long and not disapearing, I came to get back the old version, 0.0.8

- Rated 5 out of 5by tony woode, 5 years agodoes one thing and does it well, couldn't live without this! I'd like a single feature request: can I optionally change the bookmark name when I save it (since its the best place to encode WHY i'm saving it). Thanks so much for taking the time to make this!!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Elevation, 6 years agoAwesome add-on, thanks to the dev, makes adding bookmarks a breeze.
JUST ONE REQUEST: please add an option for the bookmark to be added at the top of the bookmark list in a folder not the end as it is now. Typically I will be using a bookmark I have recently added and if the folder has hundreds of bookmarks scrolling to the very end to get to the most recent bookmarks is a real time waster and pita.
