About this extension
Bring a useful passage from the web into the conversation where it belongs.
Select text on a webpage, right-click and choose “Quote in Saywit”, or open the toolbar preview. Saywit opens in a new tab so you can choose a chat, review the quote and its source link, and add it to your draft. You decide when to send.
• Quote up to 4,000 characters with the source title and link.
• Review your selection before continuing from the toolbar.
• Keep the text and attachments already in your chat draft.
• Use your normal Saywit sign-in and your existing chats.
• Quoted text stays literal; mentions and assistant shortcuts inside it do not trigger actions.
The extension accesses selected text only when you invoke it. It has no analytics, browsing-history scan, persistent extension storage, cookie access or background page scanning. Continuing shares the selected text, page title and source URL with Saywit. Review the source URL because its query string or fragment may contain private information.
A Saywit account is required. The extension is free; quoting works with Saywit’s free Private chats. Optional Smart features may require a paid Saywit plan or your own provider keys. Sent quotes follow the chosen chat’s normal processing: Private chats encrypt message content on your device, while enabled Smart features can process content with configured service providers. The extension does not send chat messages automatically.
Works on ordinary HTTP and HTTPS webpages. Browser settings, extension stores and other protected pages may block selection access. For text inside an embedded frame, try the selection’s right-click menu.
