Quote in Saywit shares only the text you select, the source page title, and the source HTTP(S) URL with Saywit when you click Choose a chat in the toolbar or choose Quote in Saywit from the selection context menu. It does not send a chat message automatically.

The extension has no analytics, advertising, background page scanning, persistent extension storage, cookie access, account credentials, or browsing-history scan. A source URL can include private information in its query string or fragment; review it before sending.

The quote handoff is a URL fragment, not part of the HTTP request. It can temporarily appear in browser history. The quote entry page omits analytics, removes the fragment immediately, and holds the pending quote in that tab’s session storage for up to 15 minutes while you sign in. Adding or cancelling clears the handoff; it is bound to the signed-in account once claimed.

Selected website content and the source URL are declared as websiteContent and browsingActivity for Firefox’s built-in data-sharing consent. The extension uses activeTab, scripting and contextMenus only after your gesture.

Sent quotes follow the destination chat’s normal processing. Private message contents are encrypted on your device. Enabled Smart features may process a sent quote with configured service providers. The extension does not sell quote data, use it for advertising, or use it for lending or creditworthiness decisions. Quote information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use.

You can cancel a quote, clear that tab’s session storage or remove the extension. Information already sent as a message follows Saywit’s message and account controls and retention notice.
