- Rated 5 out of 5by Janis, 4 months agoI absolutely love this add-on! :) Easy to use, easy to manage, and works perfectly.
But... there is one small thing I have come across lately, which I do not know how to solve.
Perhaps there is something in the settings I have missed.
Currently I have quite a lot of bookmarks, around 56k. And every time I add one more while I am browsing online content, then I assume it is a background process that kicks in, which loads/syncs all bookmark information with this add-on data. And that immediately halts all browsing in FF as no other tabs, that are being opened at that exact time (it usually takes roughly one minute or bit more to complete), respond and loading hourglass is being shown till the moment add-on sync process ends.
If there is or would be an option to disable instant bookmark sync as soon as new bookmark is added, that would be great.Developer response
posted 4 months agoEdit: When v2.2.7 is released, please review the options page and you'll see a section that will let you disable the automatic group refresh. Please check that and it won't do the automatic reshuffling/refreshing.

Hi Janis, you're not the first one to complain about how it re-shuffles after every time one bookmark is added/updated/deleted.
I'll review and see what I can come up with.
and holy smoly that's a lotta bookmarks! I can definitely see how that's frustrating. - Rated 5 out of 5by Lew Wadoo, 2 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14078353, 2 years agoLets you choose specific folders to randomly choose from (so that way it's not just all bookmarks). It's working great so far, thanks so much for making this! My toddler likes to watch random cool music videos on my lap and this is a great way to do it.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15550166, 4 years agoThis add-on works great! Is there a way to have it choose a random bookmark as the homepage? I'd like to see a different bookmark every time I start Firefox.

posted 4 years agoSorry, i never got a notification for this. I'll review the documentation and see if there's any way to do what you're asking. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12413881, 5 years agoSince some weeks it does not work anymore on a "normal" Firefox on Windows (I use the latest ff version 76.0.1). When I click on the random bookmark icon a popup opens, saying "Loading Your Bookmarks - Sorry, wait a moment until your bookmarks are preloaded". This message does not go away, even after deactivating and activating the plugin.
Update: With the newest version available (i have 2.0.9 installed), the plugin works again. Thank you for the fix!Developer response

posted 6 years agoI'll look into rebuilding it when i get some time from the ground up. I want to optimize it.
Edit: I just reviewed the documentation on what I have access to and unfortunately, getting bookmarks is not supported on Firefox for Android. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/bookmarks - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13522932, 6 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by AnnanFay, 7 years ago~~It doesn't seem to work if you open a new tab. It will keep opening the new page in the old tab.~~
UPDATE: As the author explains in a reply you can change this behaviour in the settings.
I think the default settings are a bit weird. Of the three options it seems like the least intuitive setting.Developer response
posted 7 years agoHello,
There are options that you can set for the plugin.
The default is to open a new tab and keep using that tab.
If you want it to always open up in a new tab, you can change that in the options.

posted 7 years agoHi irripod, which version of firefox are you using? I've only tested with Firefox Quantum (57) and i'm currently unable to reproduce what you're describing.
Edit: I have no clue how else to contact you but i've updated it in 1.0.2 so that the options page is in its own window now. Hopefully it works for you now.
