About this extension
ReadEasy puts the reading help that is usually spread across three extensions into one, and remembers what you chose for each site.

Typeface
OpenDyslexic is included in the extension, not assumed to be installed on your computer - so it works on a machine you have never set up. Atkinson Hyperlegible, Verdana, Georgia and Comic Sans are used if you already have them.

Spacing
Text size, line height, and the space between letters, words and paragraphs. Wider spacing helps more people than a different typeface does, and it never changes how the page is laid out.

Colour overlay
Seven tints in the colours used for Irlen-style filters, applied as a layer rather than by rewriting the page's colours - so the text keeps its contrast instead of being flattened.

Remembered per site
A page that needed help still has it tomorrow. A site you never adjusted follows your usual settings, including after you change them.

Reading ruler (Pro)
A band that follows your pointer and quiets everything else, measured in lines rather than pixels so it stays the right size when you have also made the text bigger. One purchase, no subscription.

It does not ask to read your browsing
Most extensions in this category request access to every site you visit before they have done anything for you. ReadEasy asks for nothing at install: it changes the page you have its panel open on, and applying automatically everywhere is a checkbox that asks at the moment you tick it - and gives the permission back when you untick it.

No account. No server. No network request of any kind.

Free and unlimited: every typeface, all the spacing, the overlay, the per-site memory. Paid once: the reading ruler.

OpenDyslexic is included under the SIL Open Font Licence 1.1. Copyright (c) 2019 Abbie Gonzalez.
