Privacy policy for ReadEasy — Dyslexia Fonts
ReadEasy — Dyslexia Fonts by Lucid Dreams Software
ReadEasy collects nothing, sends nothing, and has nowhere to send it to. No account, and no way to create one. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting. No server. The extension makes no network requests of any kind - the bundled font is loaded from the extension package itself.
WHAT IS STORED, AND WHERE
Your reading settings are kept in this browser's local storage, never in sync storage, so they do not travel to your browser account or to other devices. Settings are kept per site, which means the extension holds a list of the hosts you adjusted. That list is on your machine and is visible to nothing else. The panel can clear any site's entry, and uninstalling removes all of it.
A licence key, if you buy one, is stored the same way and verified inside the extension against a public key built into it. Activating it contacts nothing.
WHAT READEASY CAN REACH
It declares no content script and no host permissions at install. By default it can change only the page you have its panel open on, through activeTab, which lasts as long as that page does. "Apply automatically on every site" requests the broad permission at the moment you tick it and gives it up when you untick it.
Nothing is read from the pages it applies to: the extension writes CSS and draws its own elements, and never looks at the page's content, its text or its forms. Pages with no host - local files, the PDF viewer, browser pages - are left alone.
