posted 2 days ago"I installed the "YouTube Dislike Counter: Return Dislike Count" extension instead, and it (for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)" - yeah, because it has 500 users and was never reviewed by FF. It could literally have a crypto miner in it - but your inability to read leads you to believe that it's somehow safer.
1. These are the new rules, not everyone was forced to follow yet, it depends on update date.
2. The said permissions are only applied on YouTube, not any other site
3. Personally identifiable information and Authentication information - are only requested from users who want to log in with Patreon/Github.
The remaining permissions:
1. Browsing activity - when you open a YouTube video, the extension sends its video ID to fetch the dislike count.
2. Website content - things like the visible like count, which helps estimate dislikes.
3. Website activity - your Like or Dislike click, which counts as your vote.
Repeating again - this is only on YouTube - not all sites.
