About this extension
Shomer (Hebrew: שומר, "guardian") combines four protections in one extension:
Ads & content blocking
• EasyList, EasyPrivacy, uBlock filters and Peter Lowe's list, compiled into fast native browser rules
• Element hiding, advanced (procedural) filters and anti-adblock defusers
• Element picker and zapper to remove anything you don't want to see
• Your own filters, in the familiar Adblock Plus / uBlock Origin syntax
Tracker learning
• Detects third parties that track you with identifying cookies or fingerprinting
• Blocks them automatically once seen on 3 different sites — even trackers no list knows
• Keeps logins, payments and CAPTCHAs working by blocking only their cookies
• Sends Global Privacy Control (GPC) and removes tracking parameters (utm_*, fbclid, gclid…) from links
Fingerprint shield
• Adds invisible noise to canvas, WebGL and audio readouts — changes every visit, consistent within a page
• Patched functions look native; protected against iframe-based bypasses
• Strict mode for font and DOM-measurement fingerprinting
• Stops WebRTC from leaking your local IP address
Cookie banners
• Clicks "Reject" on 30+ consent platforms (OneTrust, Cookiebot, Didomi, Quantcast, Usercentrics…)
• Finds the reject button on unknown banners in 15+ languages, including Hebrew
• Hides what can't be refused. Never clicks "Accept".
Per-site switches for every protection, a dashboard with statistics, settings backup.
Privacy: Shomer collects nothing and makes no network requests of its own. Everything it learns stays in your browser.
