How it works

• Add the details you want hidden: your address, legal name, email, phone number, school or anything else. Shut covers them everywhere they appear, even when the spacing, capitals or street abbreviations differ.
• Every page is checked before it's shown, so nothing flashes on stream. Text that loads later, text boxes, dropdowns, tooltips and the tab title are covered too.
• Pick solid covers or blur. Alt+click a covered detail to peek at it for a few seconds.
• Shut warns you when the address bar shows something from your list, since no extension can cover the address bar.
• A test page with made-up details lets you check it's working before you go live.
