Sook constantly tells me there's nothing near me. If I expand the radius to 100mi, it directs me to the boutiques in the bougie part of town selling "denim button down girls dress $80!"
This does nothing for me when I need that specialized wrench, new pair of headphones, college textbook, replacement oven heating element etc... And I can only find it on Amazon.
Has also recent been running a site wide spam advertisement campaign on Reddit for the past few days. I would avoid this app at all costs. - Rated 1 out of 5by RAH, 4 years agoIt's really only as good as the number of local retailers people have added to it. If you live in a city of a million or more and lots of people adding retailers to it maybe it's good. My quarter million people city has too few retailers added for it to be useful. Regardless of what I search for in Amazon, it has the same list of retailers AND products which are unrelated to what I'm looking at.
It defaults to filling up the Sook browser window regardless of the relevance of the items. It would be better to just leave it blank than put in links to shoes and butter when you're searching for a wrench.
I'll check back from time to time to see if it improves.
