Storeroom privacy policy

Storeroom is a browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox that backs up a Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) seller's own store and exports it to files. It works entirely inside your browser. Storeroom has no servers, collects no analytics, and never sells, shares or transfers your data.

WHAT STOREROOM READS
- TPT pages, when you start a backup. After you press "Back up", Storeroom loads your own store's pages and product pages on teacherspayteachers.com, in your browser and with your existing TPT session, about one page every 3 seconds. It reads the product information on those pages (titles, descriptions, prices, grades, subjects, standards, image and preview links, file names) and your public store profile. It only continues when TPT's page data shows you are the store's author; otherwise it stops and keeps nothing.
- Whether you are signed in to TPT, from the same page data, so it can tell you to sign in. Storeroom never sees, asks for or stores your TPT password.
- Marketplace forms (Pro crosslist assistant), only when you ask. When you press "Fill this page", Firefox asks your permission for that site and your consent before Storeroom types your listing into the form. Storeroom then fills that page's form fields in your browser. It does not read your account data there, and it never submits or publishes anything.

WHAT STOREROOM STORES, AND WHERE
- Your backups (product records and store profile), in Firefox's extension storage on your computer.
- Files you export (spreadsheets, ZIPs, product files), in your own Downloads folder.
- If you buy Pro: your license key and the purchase email Gumroad returns, in extension storage.
- Small settings: which products you marked as listed elsewhere, and whether you've seen the rating prompt.
Delete everything at any time in Storeroom > Account > Delete all Storeroom data, or by removing the extension.

WHAT STOREROOM SENDS, AND TO WHOM
- TPT (teacherspayteachers.com and its image and preview servers): ordinary page, image and file requests from your browser, as described above, the same as visiting those pages yourself.
- Gumroad (api.gumroad.com): only if you activate a Pro license, plus a re-check about every 3 days. The request contains your license key and Storeroom's product ID, and is used only to confirm your purchase. Firefox asks your consent first; without it, the key is never sent. Payments are handled by Gumroad under Gumroad's privacy policy (https://gumroad.com/privacy).
No other party receives any data from Storeroom. Storeroom contains no ads, trackers or remote code.

PERMISSIONS, AND WHY
- Access to teacherspayteachers.com and TPT's image and preview servers: to read your store pages during a backup and save your images and previews.
- Access to api.gumroad.com: to verify a Pro license key.
- Storage, unlimited storage: to keep your backup in your browser (large stores need more than the default space).
- Downloads: to save exports to your Downloads folder and, for Pro, your product files.
- Sidebar, scripting: for the crosslist assistant, which fills a marketplace form only after you click Fill and approve that site.
- Optional, one marketplace site at a time: requested only when you use the crosslist assistant on that site.

CHILDREN
Storeroom is a tool for adult sellers and is not directed at children.
