- Rated 1 out of 5by Krzysztof Kessler, 2 months agoDoes not work outside internal texting playground. It replaces the text in text field while typing but as soon as you hit "send" or "enter" it changes back to the short phrase before the change
- Rated 5 out of 5by Abigail Gus, 10 months agoEXACTLY what I needed; Firefox not having this extension built in is kind of bonkers, especially after all this time, but this extension saved my sanity.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18203091, a year agoThis appears to be working quite well. Since it requires using the space bar to expand, it would be great if it didn't enter the space as quite a lot of webforms won't allow that space in the field.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Alex Pedruzzi, a year agoThe program is good but it doesn't work in some places like WhatsApp, Messenger, etc...
- Rated 4 out of 5by Allen , a year agoAn essential, though flawed, workaround to a longstanding Firefox bug. The fact that Firefox doesn't honor MacOS text replacements has been on Mozilla's bug list for 8+ years. Doubt they'll ever fix it. This plugin does the same thing. Unfortunately, Apple won't let you even cut/paste existing Text Replacements, much less export them, so you'll have to re-enter them manually. The one nontrivial flaw is that it insists on inserting newlines after it makes the substitution, even if you didn't type a newline. If the original text was followed by a space, the substitution should be followed by a space. Doesn't seem to work that way.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Julian, 2 years agoI love this add-on, which I use in macOS. I copied my text replacement shortcuts, converted them into a JSON file, and imported them into TextFast. Now they all work on FF.
This add-on could be improved if the shortcut expanded with punctuation such as period, comma, colon, semi-colon, and not just a space.
Thank you for your work, Matheus. - Rated 3 out of 5by Burretploof, 2 years agoIt does what it's supposed to overall, but when it replaces text with an emoji, it adds a line break after it, even if the macro is just the emoji.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Zhy, 2 years agoCan you make it don't add space after it automatically complete the text? Good addon btw
- Rated 2 out of 5by Achoy, 2 years agoGood interface but could not get it to work outside the playground
- Rated 1 out of 5by katiepotatie, 3 years agowould've been great if it, ya know, actually worked at all
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17367627, 3 years agoWorks well sometimes but other times in case of using "eml" to "user@email.com" the output will be "user@gmail.comeml". Also it does not work in the address bar in Firefox, not sure if that is a limitation of Firefox but that would be a nice feature.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17108503, 3 years agoDoesn't work properly on outlook browser app nor in gmail, which are precisely where I would like to use it. It messes up the rest of the text.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Doug, 4 years agoIt can't access the chat field in roll20. As my only real use for it was to roll dice without typing a novel, or paying for a 'pro subscription', well...
- Rated 1 out of 5by Mike Fitzmaurice, 4 years agoIt doesn't work in Facebook. It only consistently works in the configuration playground page.
- Rated 5 out of 5by clintm, 4 years agoIf you used yasnippet in emacs, this is basically the same thing. Works great as long as you have a good prefix key.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Magandy, 4 years agoI recently installed this Addon, and I am almost happy, except for the fact that when I reply to comments on Youtube videos and hit the space bar, it deletes the first letters of the recipient's name and puts the rest at the end of the phrase, plus it also retains my text shortcut at the end. Except for that, I really love it. Fix that and it would be 5 stars, because it does work fine when one writes on an empty line. Hope the developer fixes that, because I really like it.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 16444406, 4 years agoEasy to use, but very buggy. I tried this extension in 3 different places, and it failed each time. On Facebook, it doesn't work. On reddit, it replaces text, but freezes the textbox. In Craft CMS, it replaces paragraphs of formatted text into plain text.
