by Firefox user 16997645, 5 years agoYou advertise google and yandex, but when I use your translate selected text it opens a new page, and takes me to the super $h!††y deepl. Why not avoid lying and show a screenshot of what you actually do! I hate this garbage translator, google is far more accurate from Chinese to English, Spanish, French, and Polish. Also German to USA slang is much more accurate on google. DeepL should visit nvidia deep learning institute to train their retarded bots and stay the hell off my machine!
If indeed you did not switch to deepl and I stepped in the hundesheiße all by my ignorant self, then I both apologize for misdirected anger [a common anger issue, precision and anger don't hang out well together, next time you're raging mad, try threading a needle], and sincerely thank your for your candid reply. Accurate criticism is always a gift, even though it rarely appears as such.
Basically sorry and thanks!
I have used this plugin for a long time, and liked everything about it, so I trust your reply and revised accordingly, especially persuaded by your care and commitment to your project. I speak 5 languages, so use this and other translators and dictionaries 50x daily.
Features I like: when translating from or to Chinese, pinyin is also provided, option to cycle through multiple sources (yandex, MS, Google, etc. nice to have a Chinese translator as an option also like "sougou" https://fanyi.sogou.com/text, I get very different translations from Chinese translator apps from China versus the typical ones above), an option to translate "in situ" leaving the text right where you found it, but in the target language, if using the popup it should allow deep diving into grammar or grammar syntax model sentences, and my ultimate dream would be a regional slang option, for example you could cycle through academic/formal, business vernacular, casual speaking, and finally add profanity embellishments.
I am partly finding some comedy here, but on a sincere note, translating a phrase, and then seeing how each style, from stuffy and bookish, to street slang, with profanity also similarly graded from tame to Howard Stern would blush hearing it, all of this would accelerate learning a language dramatically, and people would find it very addictive, swearing at each other in obscure languages and so on. I offer this as my apology. I hope something is useful in it.
Please tell me how I got the deepl venereal disease, it's starting to get itchy and it burns a little... And the Macbook healthcare coverage expired. LOL!

- Rated 5 out of 5by tremault, a month agoit's really stable, gives me control over what to translate, gives me comparisons, and more importantly, sticks with traditional machine translation and hopefully doesn't switch to ai in secret.

- Rated 5 out of 5by J R, a month agoI really like it, it is really what I was hoping it will be, my only suggestion would be to make it possible to have a very compact design, I feel it has a lot of space between components, if I could I'd make it max 2 rows height and maybe even add transparency in case it blocks text, anyway, very nice extension!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19888994, a month agoC'est le module que je recherchais depuis tellement longtemps ! la traduction se fait en temps réel, pas besoin de clic droit puis ensuite traduire sur une nouvelle page ! Quel bonheur, outil indispensable malgré des traductions parfois douteuses
