Tuner for YouTube by adidner

YouTube is built to keep you watching. Tuner for YouTube removes the parts designed to pull you in — Shorts, the homepage feed, recommendations and autoplay — so you can come for one video and leave when you're done. Works on desktop and Firefox for Android.

Switches, one tap each
- Hide Shorts, the homepage feed, Explore, sponsored posts, community posts and movies
- Hide the recommendations sidebar, comments, end cards and overlays, and shopping and merch
- Disable autoplay and hover previews
- Hide or blur all thumbnails (video length still shown), or turn all of YouTube grayscale

Rules for the rest
Match videos by words in the title, by channel, or by time of day, then hide them, blur their thumbnails, show them in grayscale, turn off autoplay or set a playback speed.

Built-in guardrails
Turning protection off is meant to be slow. You can require a waiting period or a few math problems before Tuner switches off, pauses or loses a rule, so turning it off is a deliberate choice rather than a reflex.
